3. The Bigger Picture - Kingdom Causes is working to merge the three streams: prayer, community development and city reaching as a model for holistic community transformation. God is calling the "Church of the City" to be His Agent on the front lines of hope. As the Old Testament prophet points out in Jeremiah 29:7, this is called "seeking the welfare (shalom) of the city!" This workshop shares the story of how Kingdom Causes/Let's Partner and other ministries work to merge these three streams for the good/welfare of the city.
Upcoming Trainings/Workshops:
City Tours: Part of the work and ministry of Kingdom Causes is to encourage people to study, engage and love their cities as God does. Kingdom Causes and their partner ministries/cities offer city tours as a way to see their cities through God's eyes, discover new ways to pray for our neighbors and city leaders and encourage us to hope for God's reconciliation & redemption in the city. We will discuss the implications of the history into the present, themes/trends of city, how we see God in the city and in people and what is God saying to us & how we can speak life and hope into the city. Throughout the tour we ask a few key questions: How is prayer impacting the community and community impacting prayer? What are the stories of hope in the city and are they begin told? How is the Church of the city networked and pursuing unity and how is the Church engaged in the city? How are neighbors working together to develop their neighborhood? How can we nurture/build upon signs of hope and be people of God's peace/shalom (Jeremiah 29:7)? We are excited to journey together in this interactive, participatory learning city tour that will connect us to the historical and present day realities as we use the Bible and prayer to engage the city as we listen to stories, met neighborhoods and learning about city structures. For more information (re: dates/locations/costs), please emails us: trainingandcoaching@kingdomcauses.org
