How did you connect with Kingdom Causes?
My first connection was with Ryan VerWys with Kingdom Causes Bellflower as we were both part of a network of leaders working in Christian Community Development. Soon thereafter I met with Brad and felt a heart connection with Kingdom Causes vision, mission, and core values. In January 2008 I came on staff to work part-time as a coach in support of Kingdom Causes city catalysts, while continuing working part time as Executive Director of another organization that focused on asset-based community development in So CA. In January 2009 the two organizations shall merge. This merge expands the work in So CA, bringing city catalysts and Christian community developers together for shared planning, shared resources, shared learning and shared regional results.

Tell us about your family...
My husband, Scott, and I have been married for 25 years. I am so fortunate to share life’s ups and downs with my best friend and encourager. Scott has owned his own business for 30 years and in the off hours is a musician at heart, spending time and resources on writing and recording. Our son, Sandon, is a graduate of Cal State Fullerton, currently teaches at Biola University and Santa Ana Community College. He was recently married to his lovely bride, Laura, who is beautiful on the inside and out and is the perfect addition to our family. We have twin daughters. Jena is currently attending Mt. San Antonio College and is working at a local movie theatre. Janelle is also attending Mt. San Antonio College and is working at a local department store in photography. We love spending time together laughing, cooking, vacationing, and sharing life.
