All are invited to prepare and serve lunch at the Union Rescue Mission in downtown L.A. -  (a Christ-centered ministry to the homeless/urban poor in downtown LA). In an effort to grow in our understanding and build relationships with those who are most neglected and forgotten by our society, we will be preparing/serving a meal to the homeless/urban poor of LA and we will be oriented with the Mission and Ministry of the Union Rescue Mission (www.urm.org).

Don't miss our next volunteering opportunity. This is a great way to serve alongside people from all over Alhambra.

- Saturday, October 4th from 11am-2pm

Union Rescue Mission: Everyday, we see God's hope in the lives of people we serve. Every day, thousands turn to us for the most basic needs, a warm meal, the use of a restroom, an address to use on an employment application, or a safe place to rock a sleepy child.  At Union Rescue Mission men, women, and children are given much more than food and shelter. They find the comprehensive help they need to find the way home.

Help for Today: Our Mission is open 24 hours a day, every day of the year providing food, shelter, clothing, medical services, dental care, legal aid, mental health services, education, and job training.

Hope for Tomorrow: The Mission offers live-in residential recovery programs to give men, women and families the opportunity to rebuild broken lives.
