Laura specializes in interpersonal relationship issues, grief, PTSD, domestic violence, sexual abuse, anger management and working with those involved in full-ministry. Laura is also an Adjunct Faculty member in the Undergraduate Psychology Department @A zusa Pacific University. She has led groups since 1988, and conducted workshops and seminars on the local church, community and district level. Formerly an Early Childhood Educator, she now devotes her time to the field of grief and bereavement and various other ministries in the church as well as conducting support groups at the retirement community where she is employed.  She has taught Bible classes, led marriage enrichment retreats and seminars as well as parenting classes. Kathy carries out her passion and interest in the area of grief, knowing the effectiveness of support groups and the healthy healing that is experienced. Email: kermeling@abh.org

Tiffany Fan (Member) graduated from UCI with a BA in Psychology and Social Behavior. She is currently working as a manager/counselor at Living Well Medical Clinic and Crisis Pregnancy Center in Pasadena. they provide women with pregnancy options as well as counseling for women who have recently had an abortion. She feels privileged to journey with women to a deeper place with God as well as to help them find healing and wholeness from their experiences. Email: tifffan@gmail.com

 Mary Glenn (Member) is the Kingdom Causes Alhambra Catalyst building partnerships between the Church and City. Mary is an ordained pastor and she worked locally on pastoral staff at Alhambra True Light Presbyterian Church for almost ten years. She has completed training in the area of Basic Critical Incident Stress Management. She serves as the Coordinating Chaplain at the Alhambra Police Department. She is passionate about seeing God’s peace and hope come to all in Alhambra. Email: mary@kingdomcauses.org   


/files/HeaderImages/Alhambra_5/Alhambra Photos/gwen.jpgGwen Ng (Member) is a certified Recreational Therapist with over 23 years of experience working with acute and chronically mentally ill adolescents, adults and older adults.  She is bilingual and has provided culturally sensitive service for ethnically diverse client’s populations throughout the greater Los Angeles area and she has taught the Wellness and Recovery model for over 13 years. She currently works at Pacific Clinics ACT (Assertive Community Treatment) - most of her clients being schizophrenic. Her role is to provide resource and skills for them to be able to function in the community with little or no interference with their disability. Email: gng5@verizon.net

She has also been a school nurse for ten years working with handicapped students at the high school level. She is a member of First Baptist Church of Alhambra and recently joined the mental health task force in 2008. She has a passio for working with individuals and their families with mental health issues to help provide emotional support and most importantly education and strategies. Esther Siu (Member/Kingdom Causes Intern) Before coming to the States, Esther lived with her family in Hong Kong. At the completion of high school, she moved to the States and received her bachelors degree from the University of Oregon. After working in the legal field for several years, she decided it was time respond to God’ call for her  life. She is currently an M.Div. student at  Fuller Theological Seminary and she is working at her church as a wedding coordinator. She enjoys classes she took from the Psychology department at Fuller but her passion is Old Testament studies. She has served on the mental health task for 2007-2008.  She lives in Pasadena with her husband and a yellow Lab named Reina.  Carolyn Wong (Member) has been a member of Alhambra True Light Presbyterian Church for over 20 years.  She received her training in marriage and family therapy at Fuller Theological Seminary.  She is a certified instructor of parenting and couple workshops with Family Wellness, and also is a certified counselor in premarital and marital assessment through the Prepare/Enrich Program.  Previously Carolyn has worked as a credentialed school psychologist assessing and assisting children with special needs. Email: cslwong@verizon.net

As a clinical psychologist she works with children, families, couples and geriatrics in the Los Angeles area.  In her private practice she provides psychotherapy, play therapy, parent education, psychological testing to children, adolescents, couples and families.  She is bilingual (Cantonese) and is culturally competent working with diverse ethnic groups, which she has been for the past 8 years.  She also provides supportive therapy to geriatrics in nursing homes/assisted living facilities in the San Fernando Valley.   Currently, she chairs Kingdom Causes’ Mental Health Task Force.  Her emphasis is to educate, bridge cultural and generational differences to bring about healing in the area of Mental Health.  Email: cqwong@gmail.com
