We have remodeled the Children's Room at the Alhambra Police Department. This was a great opportunity for us as the community to rally around a need in our City. LA experienced a mild earthquake just a few weeks ago. What will we do when the big one hits? Are we ready? The next Alhambra Faith Community Emergency Preparedness Task Force Meeting is September 28, 2008 from 3-4:30pm at Alhambra PD. We are preparing for the Great Southern California Shake Out by having a practice drill on 9/28. We are asking for a representative from every Alhambra church to attend this meeting/drill on 9/28. Alhambra churches are needed resources in times of crisis. Please click here for more details.

Citizen's Police Academy at Alhambra Police Department begins September 3, 2008. This is a comprehensize sharing of knowledge about the Alhambra Police Department by veteran police officers and staff, that is offered to city residents and businesspersons who want to expand their knowledge about the Alhambra PD. This is offered during an 11 week series of Wednesday evening sessions. The academy includes: lectures, discussions, demonstrations, role-playing exercises and a ride-along with an officer on a regular patrol shift. Stop by the Alhambra PD, 211 S. Outreach Training: Standing in the Gap.. Recognizing and Assisting Victims of Human Trafficking on Thursday, August 21st at 8:00p.m. at Pacific Crossroads Church Office, 10351 Santa Monica Blvd, Suite 430, LA, CA 90025. Human trafficking is modern day slavery and it's taking place in our communities. Become equipped and mobilized to do something about it. Learn about joining an outreach team to assist potential vitims, educate the community and combat human trafficking in Los Angeles and around the world. Prayer Walking the City....Join other followers of Jesus in praying for our city monthly. Meet at Sunrise Christian Community every 4th Thursday of the month from 7:30-9pm to prayer walk the downtown core of Alhambra, praying for God's love and hope to reign on our city streets.
